As the essential link between our school and governing body, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our governance runs smoothly, effectively, and in line with statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the governing body, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring compliance with governance policies

  • Act as a trusted liaison between the governors and the school leadership team

  • Help organise meetings and maintain records of governance activities

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Experience with administrative tasks (preferably in a school setting)

  • An ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

  • A passion for supporting education and helping shape the future of our school

  • Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information

Profile – Clerk to Local Governing Board

 

Hours: 126 hours per year / 39 weeks per year – to cover attendance at 6 Governor Meetings per school (7 hrs per meeting for prep, attending meeting and post meeting write up)

School(s): Supporting KA Gomer, KA Rowner and KA Lord Wilson

Salary: KGA Band 6, Point 12 FTE £29,605 (will be prorated)

Start date: on completion of safe recruitment checks

The Clerk may also be called on to cover school meetings and payment for overtime if more than the total number of 126 hours worked will be paid at the contractual hourly rate.
