Tailored Support: Our Off Site Provision Options

At King’s Academy Lord Wilson, we understand that every child learns differently. We offer a variety of off site provision options designed to complement your child’s education and cater to their individual needs. These options are overseen by a dedicated team and can be combined to create a personalised support plan.

In-School Support:

  • 1:1 Support: Your child can benefit from dedicated one-on-one sessions within the school environment. These sessions can focus on specific learning areas, social and emotional development, or exam preparation.

After-School Support:

  • 1:1 or Small Group Tuition: We offer after-school sessions tailored to your child’s needs. These sessions can be focused 1:1 support or allow participation in a small, supportive group with a similar learning focus or social communication developmental need.

Additional Support Options:

  • 1:1 Tuition at Home: If a familiar environment benefits your child and supports our goals of reducing stress accumulation across a school day, we can provide 1:1 tuition in the comfort of your own home in order to support improvements in regulation and behaviour before returning to the busier school and classroom environments.
  • 1:1 Tuition in the Community: Learning can happen anywhere! We can arrange for 1:1 tuition in a community setting that aligns with your child’s interests, fostering a more engaging learning experience. This could include a public library for core learning, or a climbing facility for something more active where appropriate.
  • 1:1 Tuition in Trust Settings: In some cases we will deliver learning within another setting managed by our trust. We can arrange 1:1 tuition at another school or facility in order to support our students’ focus on core learning in a distraction free setting when time away from our main site supports their learning and social needs.

How to Choose the Right Option:

We believe in a collaborative approach.  Our team, including our behaviour lead, the class tutor, and any relevant specialists, will work with you to determine the most appropriate off site provision should your child require one. Don’t hesitate to contact the Assistant Head Teacher and behaviour lead, Mr Lee to discuss your child’s specific needs and explore the options available.

Together, we can ensure your child thrives both in and beyond the classroom.
